I remember watching this go down on tv when I was 11 years old, because my 16 year old sister was OBSESSED with Jessica at that point, and like everyone I thought she was being serious. I thought she was really that stupid. However, watching this at 30, I get the feeling she was really just screwing with her husband and because it was a normal moment immortalized on television, it was spun and made into her being stupid. I have a lot of sympathy for Jessica and what the media did to her in the early 2000s.
