If Sega was ever to make a new console, I feel this is probably the best time since they left the console market. They had the highest ranking of any publisher in 2020 in meta ratings, the current slate of games is solid. The purchase of Atlus was brilliant and could be levered way more on a new console for exclusives, plus all of Segas existing IPS. They’ve also been very successful outsourcing remasters and reboots of classic franchises that could be big on a new console. Just DO IT Sega!

Sega had a pretty solid start in the 80s, and if they didn't make so many add-ons that caused Sega to flop hard, they would've surpassed Nintendo in console sales.

First, the opening screen comes. Sonic appears slowly. After a couple of seconds says: I am back ! Like two people who didn’t sea each other since 30 years. one drop falls. Then says: I miss you so much.(second drop falls). Total scene is a couple of seconds. But the childhood passes in front of our eyes in one blink of an eye. Lastly Sonic says: let’s start over !!!
