note: if you buy this (like i did) and up the TDP to 15watts, expect major thermal throttling. The very small fan / heatsink combo isn't enough to cool the CPU, reaching 95C under heavy loads. The fan on the CPU is not PWM, and there currently is no way to control the fan even within the BIOS to help with temps. (*update*) It works with an m.2 oculink for external GPU with nvme m.2

I just got a new Chromebook with an N200 and 8gb of DDR5 ram for $80 on Amazon. It's really speedy and handles everything amazingly. I'm basically going to plug it in to an external monitor since the screen isn't great and use it as a mini PC.

Time to test it with the M.2 to PCIE and Occulink adapters. :D The older M6 only had one NVME slot and SATA, whereas both are NVME on this version. The older model also had the slower DDR4 memory running in single-channel, but this is using DDR5.

It just keeps getting better and better.

ETA Prime makes a minipc video. Comments complain about how they all seem the same. Occasionally, posts one that is different and improved. Comments bitch about the price. Rinse and repeat.

This would me a great replacement for one of those All-In-One 'built into the monitor' Dell-like systems that folks use for home management, TELNETTing into work and light gaming

It'd be so cool to get something like this with a Nvidia/AMD iGPU.

I use one of these as a Jellyfin server for flights and media centre for hotel TVs.
It's got 6tb in it and works great for 5 people streaming to tablets from the built-in wifi... You're not limited to 4tb.

this is really a good option for HTPC.
I'm considering this as Nvidia shield tv replacement.
I really liked the formfactor as well as the I/O ports that are given.

2:11 Just a quick peak at that cooling system would make me faint of joy.

design-wise, this looks nice as 'prebuilt' SBC. Maybe add IR receiver at the USB port and turn it into webOS OSE/Android TV box

Technology impresses more and more everyday… great vid. I’m hoping to see the very first mini pc that can do 90% or all. I believe we’re close. I travel for boxing so I’m waiting for that one killer mini pc to come out💯💯🔥🔥

I have the Chuwi Minibook X 10" with the Intel N100. My gaming requirements aren't high, and most of the time I play older fps, fighting games, and older racing games, and emulation, and this laptop is awesome and really best bang for the money. I was planning to get one of those 8" laptops with N100, but now just finding out about this N200, I'm gonna have to wait for it to go out on the 8" laptop form factor, and might actually also wait for the 10" one.

If that usbC was usb4/TB4, i probably would have considered it. The lack of USB4 is an absolute deal breaker, which is a shame since the size and other stuff is almost perfect.
Of course, if those 2x NVME slots are Gen4x4 each, i could always use an occulink adapter.

You can get similarly designed/specced Intel N100 PC for about $150. My question is whether or not the $70 price hike for an N200 CPU is worth it for general use and light gaming. Probably not but I’d be curious of what others think.

You know what I’d love? A zimaboard v2 with a n100 or even better the n200 with active cooling, that would increase the server capabilities by a lot imo considering the performance jump from their current what is it celeron n3450 which is a very aged cpu at this point
