Brilliant points from Danny, very well conveyed. Other thoughts, getting Kulusevski central seemed an obvious one. Especially as he was Spurs' best player in preseason. But accomodating him and Maddison in the same team, and central, seemed ludicrous. Ange has found a way, that can be modified defensively by going with Sarr, Bissouma and Bentancour. We have a plan A. And for the first time in ages a plan B, and even C. This is indeed progress. By the way, for all his stupidity (Son/Asian people remark and throwing a bottle at someone) Bentancur is the best bet in the league if you want 2 attacking mids. Not only can he turn balls over and defend, he has a wicked eye for a pass. Also, Kulusevski is one of the best Spurs players at covering ground, and so isn't as much of a defensive liability as some might think. Thanks lads. It took this discussion to make me think how far Spurs have come. And how much I need to trust in Ange's process

Spurs problem is their inconsistency. Under Ange they've rarely drawn matches. More often than not, they either WIN or LOSE, and this pattern of up/down/up/down has limited their progress. I reckon if Solanke hits a run of form Spurs will click into a higher gear and be unstoppable.
