I, for one, welcome our new robotic overlords with open arms.

Cody: "let's maybe not put too much faith in the Doordash Fuckboy 9000."
Me: "yeah, or his fake robot!"

The only thing to fear is fear itself. And robot dogs that stab you in the soul for blinking wrong at your AI overlords.

“THE ROBOTS ARE COMING TO F*** US TO DEATH!!”

I am 100% onboard with this

AI taken over humanity is not as terrifying nor as likely as humanity taking over AI.

Dude, I swear the algorithm hides your content… Even subscribed, I only found this randomly.

Robots fighting each other, reminds me of the hit Hugh Jackman drama, “Real Steel”

6:56 I think lower birth rates in developed countries is actually a good thing because less children will reduce future carbon emissions.

People would be better worrying about the police that already have guns rather than the dorky robot dogs

Hey zombie hulk love your stuff just wanted to add ai is already here what your talking about is general intelligence (ai with the ability to process information and make independent decisions autonomously based on its own individual understanding of reality and mortality) and your right that's a long long way off.

Ai that we have today is trained by either a) pitting two ai's against each other where they basically test each other to get smarter or (b by collecting huge amounts of data about humans or data from the ways it's used by humans. An example is robots that are already being built and sold that basically observe a humans movement and decisions and essentially mimic that whilst constantly trying to do those tasks more efficiently.

The point I'm trying to make actually comes back to what you where saying about who will operate these drones/robots.

The data gathered about the ways they are used is what future autonomous robots will be trained on I think you can see where this is going but I'll continue.

When the likely first case of mass usage of these drones is by law enforcement (and we know how trustworthy and reliable they are) security and military, you can easily see how the data that will be used to train ai for full autonomy will skew more toward racism and violence that will likely lead to something that people should indeed be afraid of.

Facial recognition run on ai for example has shown that current and future ai is ultimately biased based on who is creating it and what faces it's trained on, facial recognition early on(and still some today) was trained using images from prisons that are largely due to systemic racism (racial profiling, unbalanced judicial systems and laws that unfairly target minorities) have a high percentage of poc which led to facial recognition incorrectly deciding that POC are more likely to be criminals. Add to that the fact that the specific AI I'm talking about was created to be used by law enforcement and you can easily guess why this bias occured and that it's these biases that are making the decisions.

To create robots/drones that are capable of all this general AI isn't necessary. Layers and layers of pre written code based on large data sets essentially does the math and comes to it's decision based on that. This is where the issues and biases previously mentioned come into play.

AI rn is not capable of making emotional or moral decisions and may never be able to. It will make the decision it is trained to make but it already can see things that humans can't, just google ai trained on thousand of medical journals to find links humans can't and you see the massive potential benefits of AI but also see that ai when trained can find things and come to conclusions that humans could not.

Scary part is when you look at the ways ai is being used not to benifit society but to either police populations or profit from them. Greed and fear are what's accelerating the devolepment and implementation or robots and AI in almost every field and it's not slowing down. No Skynet isn't going to take over world and kill everyone but governments and corporations will ultimately use it in ways that are bad for all of us instead of the opposite because money(greed) and power(control through fear) is a symptom of the capitalist sytem we live in and it's their biases that everything created will be based on.

Wow that took a lot of words to explain 🤦‍♂️

Halloween is weird. It's teaching children that to go door to door asking people for candy is a normal activity. Most of the year it's called begging. Is Halloween preparing children for a life of begging?

I thought Halloween was a celebration of a good harvest. You know, like lots of pumpkins.

There's also the artificial intelligence for art.

I believe the extensive series of documentaries, AKA the Terminator movies, proves that AI will always rise up against us.
