The Maths Prof: Locus of Points

In this lesson I explain how you find the:

1. Locus of points a fixed distance (e.g 4 cm) from one point 00:15
2. Locus of points equidistant from two points/line bisection/perpendicular bisector 01:58
3. Locus of points equidistant from two lines/angle bisection 04:32

At the end of the lesson you can see my accurate diagrams 08:03

It is useful to try the examples at the same as I explain them so get your compass, pencil and ruler at the ready!

Thank you for another brilliant lesson. This is another topic that I'm not too good at. I passed my mock with 67 percent. For some silly mistakes, and reading the question properly, I could have gained more marks. One question totally baffled me, " The nth term of a sequence is 2n squared +1. The nth term of another sequence is 65-2n squred. Show that there is only one number in both of these sequences". Really cooked my little brain. Your videos have really helped me over the last few months. Thank you once again 😄
