Peter Sagan's Specialized S-Works Venge

Peter Sagan has made the switch from Cannondale to Specialized this year. Will this be the bike that delivers him to a cobbled classic win?

Given the choice between Specialized Tarmac or Venge, Peter Sagan has gone for the latter, which suits his fast sprint and classics ability down to the ground.

Sagan rides Dura Ace Di2 throughout, except for the FSA chainset and chain. His handlebars are also FSA, bit he deviates from the team sponsor for his stem, which is made by Zipp.

Wheels are supplied by Specialized's in-house brand Roval, and the tyres are also made by Specialized.

A couple of points of interest; Sagan rides 172.5mm cranks and runs Di2 sprint levers on the drops.

Is there anything gained by running 24mm tires? Matt did say that most teams run 23's, 25's, and even 28's typically. So why did Tinkoff Saxon decide on 24's?

Come on, you gotta put black handle bar tape on there.  At the minimum, put the matching highviz green!

Specialized offers those Carbon S-Works crank arms with SRM for BB30 system.. why did the team just sign to FSA BB386 cranks where they also need adapter rings to fit them with the 68mm BB housing.. i don't get it.. (btw. Astana has the same bikes with S-works SRM cranks / OPQS the same with Quarq..)

Can someone explain me why a cyclist needs hard handlebars for power output? Doesn't the power come from the legs only? I don't get it.

It is said that Cav's Venge has the very same "flydeck" than Peter's Venge. Any sprinter likes FSA stems.
