How To Plug Your Motorcycle Tire

Getting a flat or leaking tire from a nail, screw or stone can be a real bummer out on the road. Hopefully you can pull over safely, too. However, if you carry the right tire repair kit with you, then in 15 minutes you can often be back on the road. I'll demonstrate in this video how to install a tire plug in an emergency and talk about some of the details you need to know.

Have that reamer ready to be inserted just as you are about to pull out the offending object, and it won’t hurt to have the compressor hooked up and running during the operation. Don’t pull out the reamer until the plug is prepped and immediately ready to go in. Also, don’t push the bike off its center stand; line things up so that you can do the operation on the side stand with the bike in a low gear.
