I have to agree with teamlock, this is "by far" the best live version ever of this song. No one comes even close to it. Not even the Slane castle, super bowl or Boston '01 versions. The intro plus edge's guitar, Larry's drum, Adam's bass and Bono's voice they all have an intensity, strength and power never seen in the future versions. This one is EPIC!!!

best gig u2 ever did was slane castle" where the streets have no name" when u2 play in there homeland no where on earth can witness better i seen them 19 times since 1983 and slane castle both dates was best performances i saw the super bowl it was powerful but doesn't come within a billion miles of the slane performance 2nd date in slane castle the best u2 performances is always in ireland the rest are just warm ups for the home coming gigs no u2 gigs are better than watching play to own people

you feel like Father Ted when bono says look to the future, the 1990's
I used to think about the future, and then it became the present,
so I thought about it quite often then,
and then it was in the past so I didn't think about it that much

Great version, but please correct the date. It is from Dec. 31st, and on Dec 30th, they did a version where they include a snippet from "On the Road" by Kerouac, which is also unbelievable.. so the date matters. Great post though! U2 Forever
