Bible Musings: What is your Thorn in the Flesh?

Paul speaks to the Corinthians about a mysterious thorn in the flesh that Satan sent to plague him. What was it? Should we even know? What benefit is this passage to us?

I'm happy with that interpretation regarding Paul's thorn in the flesh, I too wasn't convinced it was bad eyesight, I was only ever a long term bible study with JWs & never felt heard. I always naturally understood it to be a very private, personal battle, the wrestling. I think then we project our own personal predicament into that situation.

I also believe that a thorn in the flesh could be something to keep you humble. Paul had such a close walk with God & so many of his prayers answered that he could have become prideful.

This is good advice and encouragement for every day to keep in the path and for keep believing and doing what's right even when we are weak because we must have faith and know that if Jesus is on our side then we are strong even if we sometimes do not see it.
