It wasn't when my ex-crush finally kissed me after almost 3 years. Nor when I found out I'm the highschool valedictorian. Nor when I got admitted into med school. Nor when I first saw my name printed on a book. Nor when I dipped my toes into the Pacific. Not even when another crush sent me for Christmas a book he knew I'd been yearning for (although that's a close second).

The happiest moment in my life was when, against all odds and expectations, Nick Murphy called Marcus Marr back on stage to play this masterpiece. This is the only true moment of sheer happiness I recall having experienced in this life. Maybe greater things await, or maybe not. But I'll always have the "Killing Jar in Berlin" moment. It's mine and only mine, just like that singular scream having pierced the walls of ColumbiaHalle upon hearing the incipient tunes of this marvelous work of art.
