Krampus Night is celebrated by drinking and scaring people? I think that I've been inadvertently celebrating Krampus Night on a regular basis.

Over the centuries it grew, it festered, and it ultimately took on a horrific life of its own. I am from Czechia and we have strong tradition of St. Nicholaus (Mikuláš in Czech) and Krampus (Čert in Czech, literally Devil in English) here.
Each evening of 5th December some people dress up as St. Nicholaus, Krampus and Angel (the Angel is usually pretty and kind young girl/woman dressed in white with angel wings on her back) and walk around the neighborhoods or even in bigger cities around downtown or shopping malls etc. and stop by and talk to families with children and St. Nicholaus asks them if they were good so that they can get some sweets from him as present. Sometimes the parents might say that the child was naughty as well and then it is Krampus' (Devil's) part to talk to children and scare them a bit, threatening to put them in the bag he carries with him to take them to hell with him if they will continue being naughty.
God, how we loved this as kids, we truly believed that St. Nicholaus, Krampus and Angel were real and we were genuinely scared of Krampus, esp. when he was impersonated by a strong grown man with a spectacular costume and superb acting skills. Me and my sister, we even hid under the table sometimes when our parents invited this party to our home on the Krampus night! This brings back lovely choldhood memories, thank you for covering this topic and keep up the great work you're doing on your channel.

I remember my German teacher talking about him. I fell in love with Krampus and the idea of it. It added in a twisted idea to Christmas and it was great. I also remember the video she showed us of Saint Nicholas and Krampus showing up to kids homes to give the kids gifts and listen or watch the kids talent. Like i said one of my favorite European Tales

I actually never watched Gremlins when I was growing up. But a couple years ago, the Krampus movie came along to fill that special void that only a Christmas horror/comedy classic could fill.

Krampus is actually the good guy trying to correct problem children so they can grow up to be decent adults and not criminals . Santa gets all the credit but Krampus is the one who really cares he wouldn't be punishing them if he didn't care

Only ever seen him in the x mas horror film a horror Christmas story he was one of the story's in it was surprised by it as it was great as one story in it bout Santa fighting undead elfs is all I need to say I think it's on Netflixs in the UK currently unknown for other country love all the new content it's like Christmas with you Mr H still waiting on that abc warriors video tho but willing to wait for it as I think u'll get to round to it merry Christmas Mr H to u and your family
