LPG VW T3 DOKA double cab dyno tuning

The first pull on the rollers at Moritz tuning in Amsterdam for the LPG/Petrol dual fuel converted 1984 T3 Double Cab. The truck is a recent addition to the akciddento fleet and after a lot of spannering and fixing of poor maintenance and previous-owner wierdness it's time to baseline the AFR and general tune of the engine. The truck has a later 2.1l MV motor but running an early style DG Pierburg carb with LPG gas injector. The cooling system was early style butchered to meet late style thermostat housing and water pump of the MV motor with a bypass for the LPG vaporiser / pre heater. That has all been replaced with a later style cooling system and some other base fixes. After an hour or so we had the fueling for LPG on and the truck pulled a best of 68hp at the wheels and 128.9 ft-lb of torque with a torque curve that goes flat from 2000- 4000 rpm - correcting backwards for driveline loss this apparently makes around 85bhp at the flywheel - or just a shade under the factory 90bhp that a new MV is listed to make with the original fuel injection - happy with that from an unknown mileage junk-yard dog of a motor. From here the only way is up :D
