I love the look of black lights and what they can do. I have a large CFL in my room that is around the size of my head and when my black light is on it makes it glow a little and I found that cool.

Also i the one i have is also the older version but i like and i think is a very good one I've always like black lights especially the fluorescent ones

Led are not as good as fluorescent. the leds produce this horrible purple glow that washes everything in purple . they don't produce true uv and when you look at it, it has an awful glare. This glare is because the light produced by the Leds are concentred in a tiny area making it piercing bright.

The issue is with uv leds is that they are not ture uv but a purple 405nm light.
There are true uv led but they are very expensive and many companys that build products would rather use the cheap stuff that is good enough.

Fluorescent blacklights have this lovely soft purple glow that is pleasing in the dark and because they produce true uv(365nm) and very little purple(405nm) light it can still make things glow while still keeping the room dark. Fluorescent blacklights have this look that always fits in the disco, laser tag and halloween scene.
