the other difference is that if you have OEM and faced an issue in the future with an update or anything else, microsoft will not help you and will tell you to contact the system manufacture, so if I were a regular user I would think twice before I hasten and buy the cheaper option

I was highly skeptical, but I gave it a chance. Thank you so much! I forgot about the whole OEM license being tied to the motherboard thing. They should tell people that when buying pre-built computers, and offer a retail license as an upgrade.

in many stores is see windows 10 pro retail only 5-10 euros/bucks more than oem. Is there something wrong with what i see because there is no product key close to 300$ in Greece. Thanks

I read that its attached with your Microsoft account (outlook account in my case) so if I were to build a new rig or like install windows 10 pro in a different system, all I need to do is log in with my Microsoft account and windows will be activated, correct?

well my old pc from Walmart had an oem windows 8.1 on it and after that pc died i changed the hard drive to a different pc and it works fine, why dues it still work

Thank you for the info! I got a question though, I've built a computer recently and I beans it by picking S mode, can't reach the internet to get to the and can't run my drivers to connect to it.
Does the key need an internet to upgrade itself or am I just in a rut?

Edit: I'm using the TechbyMatt $500 dollar pc build from like 2020 if that helps any

Boss. Quick question regarding this OEM. Plano ko kasi mag build ng pc next week, so pano ko iinstall tong OS na to? Sanay kasi ako sa bootable USB lang na nabibili sa lazada pero hindi legit hahaha. Itong ganito ba pano procedure pag mag setup ng new build pc? Mag ddownload ako ng installer sa microsoft site then ipapasok ko lng ang product key?

I don't have access to a second pc/laptop to create a Windows media tool with my usb flash drive for free. I've been trying to create it myself to save the money. My question is, I built my PC without an OS so, my only option is to buy Windows 10 OS usb/license for $139? Is there a more affordable way to obtain this OS for my build?
