Today, we compared the Hisense U8K to the U7K . Both are mini-led, and both are 65". We are comparing gaming with consoles on the PS5. Please let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks so much for watching!

I think it’s a toss up, at times the U8K looks better on close up objects and at times the U7K looked better for things in the distance depending on the game. For the price, probably have to go with U7K. Thanks for the review!

Awesome video. This is just what I needed. I wasn’t sure which one to buy. After watching your video, I decided to go with the U7K 75in. Thank you.

You make the best videos because you focus on actually showing the tv and not trying to show yourself like most people on here.

Loving these side by sides, Brian! Don't sleep on the U7K this year, folks! Go up a size and go for it!

I found them close enough to go 65" u7 over 55" u8 for a gaming/streaming garage TV. It replaced 2021 U8G. Thank you so much for your coverage Brian. I have bought 5 Hisense since I prefer watching TV in multiple parts of my home instead of dumping lots of funds for 1 flagship for one room.

Check out timecode 21:34 and pause it... And this could be maybe how you have your camera set up.... but the U7K has more sharp detail in the mountains on right side of the screen. But the U8K has more detail on the tree on the left side of the screen (which is closer to the character) this gives a little more depth of image on the U8K.

Also Brian which panel looks better Off Angle?

Quality review def subbed. First time considering Hisense. Haven’t really been in the market for a tv in a long time but I never would have considered anyone than big 3 back then. Glad these other companies are doing better.

Just got the u7k for 500 bucks on Amazon that’s insane for a 144hz 4K vrr hdr 1000nit display three years ago a screen with all that at 55inchs would have been 2500 bucks at least

Thank you for another awesome video. The U8K appears to be a legitimate contender, but at approximately $2023.00 for the 75" (including CA tax and 5 year geek squad protection from Best Buy) the value starts fading. The 75" U7K for approximately $1100.00 after CA tax (including a 3 year warranty backed by Costco) is starting to feel like the bang for the buck champion of 2023. Keep up the great work Sir. Much appreciated. 🙏

My Samsung Q6FN just ran into some issues so I'm looking at these 2 models and it's really tough.

I bought the Samsung qn90b for a different room last year and I'm blown away by it, the black levels are unbelievable but I can't justify dropping that much on a 75" qn90c so I after a ton of research it's looking like either the U7 or U8.

As of right now I can get a 75" U7 for $1598 CDN or the 75" U8 is $2199.

I'm leaning towards the U7 for the price but I also have really preferred it over the U8 in alot of the scenarios.

I don't need the added brightness but the added dimming zones of the U8 should make it better, but alot of the time it looks washed out on colors, so for the few times the added dimming zones will make a difference it doesn't seem like it's worth it for me, the part that I don't like about the U7 is the black bars when watching a movie look pretty bad, much like my Q6 edge lit does.

The U7 also has slightly better response times for gaming which also makes it a difficult choice..

For the options these 2 have there's nothing from Sony, Samsung or anything that compares for the price, in fact these tvs are beating out even higher end models from those brands easily.

Thank for the video ❤

the active contrast DOES make a difference on the picture quality. It can make the picture looking from washed out to beeing deepr with contrast similiar to what lowering the black level does except without crushing the blacks as much. I had the u7k and returned it for a sony as no matter what i did to the hisense i could never get it to stop looking washed out when gaming.

Got a question. Couldn't you by using settings, make the U7K contrast more similarly to the U8K?

I bought a U8K last year and I love it, but have been wondering if I should have just bought a U7K. Beautiful TV, but the U8K def looks better when gaming. I love it and I appreciate this amazing video for making me feel better. I'll probably buy a bigger U7K for my living room now. Excellent comparison. Def suscribing!

The side by sides are awesome. We all have preferences on what we think looks better so it's nice to have both units in such a good comparison to make a decision. Personally, i found that I enjoyed the picture on both tv's in different situations. Where the U8K looked better with some of the foliage in one shot the U7K would have better foliage in another shot. The picture quality on both seems so comparable that I'm definitely leaning towards a 75" U7K rather than a 65" U8K.

I’ve only been using LG OLED’s since 2016. I’ve been spoiled by OLED black levels and contrast. After going to Best Buy and seeing the TCL QM8 and Hisense U8K side by side, I may pick one of those for my next big tv. The price to value and how close the levels were to OLED were unreal. The flagship models from both of the brands looked very similar, but the QM8 may have the edge by a very small margin. I’m also a gamer and wish that there was 3 hdmi 2.1 ports. I need one EARC for my soundbar and the other 2 for each console.

You should have also tested an Xbox Series X to see the performance of Dolby Vision 120hz.

Great video 17:48 made me decide not to pull the trigger on the U7K.

I'm really keeping an eye on these two TVs. However, I have a question at this point: on Amazon, the 65" u8k costs pretty much the same as the 75" u7k. Which would be the best choice for the same money, the 75" u7k or the 65" u8k?

My awesome LG C1 just died at two years old. It’s out of warranty, I’ve replaced all of the components inside so I’m assuming it’s the actual panel at this point. Just ordered a U7K and can’t wait! Will never go high dollar LG again. Great review Bryan!

I am looking for UH8K. I sit 8.5 feet away and have dual 55-inch TVs (LG C1 and LG Nano Cell). The Nano Cell is just over 10 years old and is making popping sounds. So I would like to replace it with a U8K. I have an i9-13900k and an RTX 3080ti LC. I race and fly simulators. (Flight wheel controllers, Throttle Quadrant, Racing Wheel, Pedal). I do a lot of tech research mainly. So I am on my system the whole day. I am considering the U8K because of the brightness. My office has three 8-foot windows. No sunlight directly on any of the equipment, but lots of light in the AM.
