For life to evolve on Earth, a bunch of complex organic molecules had to evolve a way to assemble into cells. So how did those proto-cells get cell membranes? Some researchers have a new hunch. Also, scientists are borrowing a trick from cheap laxatives to improve energy storage in supercapacitors.

The more significant reason to use a super capacitor where you might otherwise use a battery is the charging loss of using a batter. If you expect to use that charge nearly right away like you might with a super capacitor being used when you start moving again, then the relatively low charging losses of a super capacitor outweigh the disadvantage of them not holding a charge for very long.

a laxative is a chemical that stimulates the muscles of your intestines to make them work harder. what you described sounds more like a stool softener, which simply makes your stool softer.
