youtube fandom is an interesting phenomenon. I believe its an amalgamation of viewers feeling more connected to the "creator" (as its called in the youtube-sphere), because vlogs are more personal. Vlogs are more accessible because vloggers tend to upload more often than a typical network tv show. And more importantly-- Its not on a cable channel of some sort where you typically need a paid cable subscription. Not to mention, viewers dont have to wait for a particular time of the day or week to watch the video. A day or a week later viewers can go back and watch a vlog they missed or re-watch vlogs out of pure entertainment or interest. In the end the videos are more accessible which creates a more engaged audience. 230k+ subs. you're doing something right!
