Just because something is expensive does not necessarily mean it's good or worth your hard-earned cash. However, in general, I really think that you do get what you pay for. Some expensive luxury brands are just better. Better quality. Better craftsmanship. More singular and unique. In this video, I'm sharing six expensive products that I think are totally worth the money.

Here's a quick list. You'll notice that some are specific products and some are product categories:

00:46 - Selvedge Denim Jeans
02:10 - Boutique / Niche Fragrances
03:38 - Custom / Made To Measure Suit
06:00 - Frank Clegg Leather Goods
07:00 - Aesop Skincare Procucts
08:02 - Belgian Shoes

Watching these videos always feels like some kind of awakening to me - because most people I know would not even spend 300 euros to buy a suit. In Finland where I live, many men just buy the cheapest suit they can find, and even 100 to 200 euros feels expensive for them. They only wear a suit when they absolutely have to, and that is maybe 1-2 times a year, or not even every year . When they talk about wearing a suit, it's like they are talking about some kind of terrible tragedy. That has always been something I can't relate to, and I'm often frustrated with the fact that it's very hard to dress sharp here without grabbing too much attention. In the office where I work, people just wear cheap jeans and hoodies, for example. It's just a part of our culture that you must be humble and unnoticeable, many people still find it strange when men care about their looks. There was recently a survey about the places where men do their shopping in my country - and the result was that the most common place to buy clothes is a hypermarket. Men just grab something cheap to wear, as fast as possible, when shopping their groceries. That's just sad.

Love the video. One I would add is “airline travel luggage”. For years I purchased cheap or mid tier carry-on bags and since I fly every 2 weeks for business I’d go through 2-3 suitcases a year. Wheels break, handles stop working, etc. I bought a Rimowa Topas Stealth in carry-on size and it has lasted me 2 years already (knock on wood). Worth every penny

Dressing well is a form of good manners ~ Tom Ford.
I think ppl should complain less abt things they can control, u want to dress better, better watches, better cars? with all do respect Hustle!! Achieve the position or financial freedom u wanted n stop criticizing ppl with good taste or saying luxury goods r waste of money. I went from Gshock to Omega in years n the costs are Blood Sweat n Tears n damn proud of it, still love my Gshock that went through with me during university but I'm going for a rolex next🤜🤛keep grinding people❤

Solid recommendations, some I would recommend along the same lines:
1) Pocket knife (ZT, Benchmade, CRK)
2) Lighter (Douglass)
3) Leather Jacket (Schott, Flat Head)
4) Swiss watches (Hamilton, Omega, Rolex etc)
5) A good anti-aliasing filter on your camera ;)

One of my favorite denim brands is Naked and Famous out of Montreal Canada. They buy premium Japanese denim, but sew the jeans in Canada to provide a slightly more affordable Japanese selvedge denim jean at under $200. Also, they have all sorts of crazy denim blends include kevlar, steel, very heavy weights (32oz), as well as interesting collaborations. I think I now own 5 pairs, but I really appreciate each one, and since I work in a more casual environment, I get to wear jeans daily.

In The Netherlands: Suitsupply entry level suit (S110's) = 279€ + Tailor is around 60€. No idea why tailoring is so expensive in America but for my body type this is a much better deal.

Very high quality video btw.

In day and age where inexpensive is synonymous with good, you have an uphill battle with most. For those of us who are 'aware', your video is very welcome.

I dislike the word ‘luxury’. I prefer quality.

I love my Mark Cross, which I believe is the quintessential luxury brand for leather goods. They are expensive, they are worth it. I’ve had my Mark Cross briefcase for over 30 years and it still serve me well.

A good pair of English Goodyear welted shoes from Loake, Cheaney or Crocket & Jones. Looked after properly they will last 10+ years.
Plus good Cedar shoe trees.

Over the years, I have had extremely good quality with Oxxford made to measure, and Brioni made to measure. I own bespoke suits from Saville Row, by Gieves and Hawkes, and Joseph. They are like wearing artwork. While expensive, they are values when one thinks I've owned these suits for over two decades, and they look as good as the day I picked them up in London. That makes them more than competitive with department store ready-to-wear. The right bespoke ends up being an heirloom item.

I love my RRL! Got them for $50 on Ebay. Selvedge denim in the $100-200 that I like a lot is Gustin. They use fabrics from all over the world. Great value
