im glad this movie focuses on the misconception of filipinos who are from the province and visions living in urban cities such as manila as some kind of heaven and a solution to their problems when in reality living in urban cities will make their life a lot more difficult

this film is my favorite film and the last time I watched it was 2 years ago, this movie is about a dad trying to give a better future for his family by taking them to the big city, it's about the sacrifices that need to be made to take care of the ones we love, the caring doesn't disappear even after we die, we care for our loved ones, and we will do anything in our power to give them a better life
and Metro Manila captures that feeling so well I cried every time the movie ended, especially the end speech was so powerful and brought me to tears time after time
