Alicia, I vividly remember being fascinated by chestnuts, only because how they are celebrated in Christmas songs. My mom caved in, and brought me to a Christmas bazaar only because she knew that they'd be served there. I was about 11 years old, at the time, I tried the roasted chestnuts but I was not very impressed at all. I thanked my mother out of respect and courtesy, but it just kinda stayed right there. A deal was a deal, . . . so I had to spend another hour or so (which felt like an eternity) walking from display to display and merchant to merchant. I remember how flat the roasted chestnuts fell on that day, but it hasn't ruined Christmas music for me. Cheers ! Oh, it's just about Mardi Gras season. (No, I don't really celebrate it, but I enjoy Mardi Gras-themed social media posts). You have a husband and three kids, none of which I have. Yes, I'm finally learning how to cook and clean for myself at the tender age of 50+. You, along with other influencers have been giving me the inspiration that I've been lacking for many years. I still have a domestic engineer for hire (I don't like to say cleaning lady) who helps me really get this place scrubbed from stem to stern, about once every two to three months. However, I'm doing an OK job on my own. Yeah, it's been called so many things ... Home Economics, Foods & Families, Domestic Science, etc. etc. ... I just call it "better, cleaner, tastier, more nutritious, economical living." Yes, I've told you all about my fast food & delivery habit, which I've broken. Be Blessed and Well, Stuart

Fantastic!! I miss Trader Joe’s so much! I haven’t been there in like 2 years. I appreciate the shopping haul. I really need to go again. I miss the dried pineapple. I make YouTube videos too. Mostly cooking and DIY but I do some shopping hauls. I’ve never done a Trader Joe’s haul but you’ve inspired me to plan a trip to Trader Joe’s! Thanks for taking me shopping/hauling with you!

I grew up with chestnuts on the table around Christmas! I have a love hate relationship they are weird but yummy! I believe you can soak them in water to moisten slice a slit down the middle and roast in an oven, they smell amazing as cooking and my mom would put them in a basket with a towel to cover so the steam and stay warm and not dry out! They can fry out easily don’t over cook! And soak! Enjoy merry Christmas 🎄❤️

Omgoodness what a fun haul I’m getting excited I love the limited holiday finds. That game looks fun. I love sweets but guessing the flavors yes please.

Also, once I found the jalapeño flavor chomps I have never looked back. It’s not super spicy just a nice hint of flavor. 🌶
