A key issue not mentioned is the amount of storage space on your cold wallet. Specifically the Ledger Nano S. In order to store multiple coins, you have to download and install software for many coins, and Ledger Nano S simply does not have enough storage for maybe more than 3 or 4 coins. Mine would only hold BTC, ETH and ONE before it ran out of storage and I had to either move my ONE elsewhere or I had to get another wallet to hold other coins.

but if you plan to keep it for 5 years plus... the hardware wallet or any software wallet are useless. so keep the keys off line in a steel plate and make sure you got geo replication in place.

I feel like people stigmatize dupes but for me, I pause on large purchases that are trendy or when I feel the overconsumption mania setting in FOR ME. (It's something I struggle with LOL!
