You know me, I'm gunna sing the praises of the Arizona Blonde.
Basic? Definitely. But I think there is so much stunning beauty in this dusty brown T.
But how can you go wrong? Simple husbandry. Easy and cheap to buy. And as a bonus, most are very docile and can be handleable.

My boyfriend gives me weird looks when I call a tarantula “basic.” Like he can’t even fathom that someone would call keeping any spider basic.

Basic and overlooked- definitely the T albo (curly hair). Photos just don’t do them justice, as I was never really interested until I saw a Nicaraguan form in person, they are breathtakingly exquisite in all of their fluffy glory!!
Also, I definitely see improved quality in this video! Great work! Looking forward to future content!

I love the way Caribena versicolor raise their front legs when they walk, they are so cute.

Lol that Caribena versicolor keeps popping up in my life - I think the universe may be decreeing something! I am about to switch to mantises for a bit as a focus but I'm def getting a few new 8 legged friends for my birthday in the summer and I think that one and the Harpectira pulchripes should join the family.

Just got my favorite "basic" T. The B. emilia. I like that you have C. versicolor on the list. I still see so many people commenting on how difficult their husbandry is. I got mine when it was under an inch. Now she's 3in and still going strong.

My gramastola pulchripes has been my best tarantula. Shes a sweetheart. She never hides, eats anything, doesn't web up hardly until she molts, and requires zero maintenance essentially. Very hearty species and are super fun to watch move around and eat. Even watching her drink is fascinating. I hope to have her another 12 to 15 years. Got her when she was smaller than a dime, now she's as big as my hand. Way cooler than a rose hair.

I think Balfouri's are some of the most gorgeous T's out there. I love their blonde color with the deep blue. Another BEAUTIFUL video!!!!

My C. Versicolor sling molted into a juvenile last night <3

I would include Brachypelma Klaasi, or Mexican Pink Beauty tarantula. GORGEOUS tarantulas, docile and relatively basic care, same stuff you'd do for a B. Smithi. Rare and pretty expensive, but imo they are a must have. I love my girl!

Happy to see the A. geniculata on the list. It's my favourite species, also because it started my little "royal family" as I call it. It's great to know that no matter what, my favourite species will always be available and cost almost nothing :D

I'm so glad you had the Grammostola pulchripes and the Acanthoscurria geniculata on the list. I am always recommending these species to people. Grammostola pulchripes was my first tarantula and she was the perfect first tarantula for a beginner. And my Acanthoscurria geniculatas are such a joy to feed and they get so big and gorgeous.

M Balfouri are definitely underrated! My favorite for webbing, temperament, feeding, visibility and fantastic color... Basically all the best things to say about a T

Got to say the Costa Rican zebra knee/striped knee. Cheap, easy to keep, and beautiful especially after a molt.
