Skylar and Aqua love the octonauts because they’re nice and awesome, but on the other hand, Ocean hates them because she thinks that one of these days, they’ll hurt them and make them like an attraction to some zoo.

They all grew up in the circus and they escaped because they couldn’t take their Father (aka the ringleader) abusing them and forcing them to stay there. They met the octonauts later when Skylar was badly injured, so they had no other choice but to trust them, and they ended up becoming part of the group.
