Snow country japan: What happens when you leave your house for a week?

What happens when you leave your house in snow country Japan for a few days? This was about 6 days later after a trip.

I went to Cambodia for week. Thanks to cheap flights that came on sale, I could finally visit Ankor Wat in Siem Reap. Incredible place!

When I came back, this is the snow situation that was waiting for me. I have to say that I tried to time this trip thinking we would be having less snow.

Wrong. We’ve had a lot of snow already.

Also, my girlfriend did her best to clear the snow but trying to have a full time job and manage snow is really something you need to think about. Working a full day makes it difficult to stay on top of this work that nature creates.

I filmed this video as a bit more of a “behind the scenes” style just for some entertainment of my daily life. I think it gives a little more insight into me and my journey. Even though I can comfortably say that I’m a Japan travel guru, I’ve also spent a good part of my life and money on traveling the world.

Is this something you would also like to see more of?

Make sure to wait until the end of the video. Like the snow, it keeps going.

Let me know what you think about the video and enjoy!

I found your channel last night, till now, I have watched most of your vlogs. I don't like snow, but like to see it screen. I am living in a country that have snow 6 months per year.

I'm a little north of you outside Tsunan and I could not survive without my snow melting roof system. The old fella next to me knows it's time to clear his roof when the shoji don't slide cleanly, which is terrifying to me, but snow country folk are just built different I guess.

sheesh! i am no longer confused as to why the previous owners left lol. cause i too would be tired of the snow and the responsibility of it but hey, it's such a beautiful place. it's worth it lol. best of luck to you!

Frigid cold weather like I have without the snow is like having amazing relations without the final outcome❤

I hope you do a video of you taking snow off the roof, I'm curious about that.
I've seen the train drivers do that and I thought it would be for them to make sure they're paying attention. When I first got my license I drove through a red light (playing with the radio), after that I started a habit to look at the green light, point to it and say out loud, "green", it's my way of making sure I'm doing the one job I'm meant to do. I do love these snow shovelling video's.

The peaceful scenic nature of snow comes at a price of work to clear the snow. I live in a tropical climate so no snow for me😇

In Kagoshima the fire department trucks drive around and make announcements about kerosene heaters. When I lived in the city someone from the neighborhood association would walk around in the evening tapping two pieces of wood together announcing the same thing. Fire prevention and ventilation.

Honestly, if you could just walk around your house every day outside in the snow finding something to do and videoing it and showing us that would be fantastic

You could build a car port next to your house. 🌻

Nice video. And a good bit of advice there with the snow on the car. Sadly I see that here sometimes even though you can get a fine for that herein The Netherlands. I wonder though how many moppets still drive around there in the snow. Or is in that area the moppet not so much a thing?

The mountains don't look all that snow covered. Are the runs open?
