In my mind the reason players from FIBA are finding success over here to the degree we are seeing, is because they were actually being guarded. Then they came to the NBA where defense has almost been criminalized by comparison. They went from playing a sport, to playing a game.

i saw him play in person one time. he didn't have a great game scoring from the feild, but he had 26 from the foul line and ended up with 40. nothing flashy, just a quiet double double and the win.

Growing up I played basketball and idolised LeBron and Melo. We had players in the NBA that won rings (Beno Udrih, Raso Nesterovic), but they were like depth players and the national team always fell short in the big moments. Fast forward to now and I'm enjoying my favourite sport and was able to watch Slovenia become European champions and I'm able to watch a true Slovenian superstar in the league. All that's left is for Luka to get that ring. Can't wait.

Like Luka said, US NBA is so easy to score while the European B-ball is so much harder and the current European B-ball is like it was in MJ's day in the 80's and 90's. So this puts the GOAT discussion in even more perspective. MJ GOAT.
