In this video, we will make Misal pav Recipe with Homemade Masala which is a very popular Maharashtrian Street Food.

Ingredients:
Sprouted Moth beans - 2 cups
Water - 6 cup
Salt - to taste
Haldi - ½ tsp
----------------------
For Masala -
Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
Sesame Seeds - 1 tbsp
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cloves - 10 pieces
Stone flower / Dagad Fool - 2
Peppercorn - ½ tbsp
Star anise - 1
Saunf - 1 tsp
Oil - ½ tsp
Desiccated coconut - ¼ cup
15 cloves garlic
Red chilli kashmiri - 4-5 tbsp
Blended with ¼ cup coriander leaves
Water

For Matki Chi Usal
1 tbsp oil
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
Curry leafs - 1 sprig
Onion - 2 medium
Salt - as per taste
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Tomato - 1
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp

For Rassa and Kat together
Oil - 4 tbsp
Mustard - 1 tsp
Cumin - ½ tsp
Curry leafs - 1 sprig
Onion - 1 large
Kashmiri Red Chili Powder - 2 tsp
Ginger Garlic paste - ½ tsp
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Chopped Tomato - ½
Jaggery - 1 small piece / 1 tsp
To Serve -
Farsan, Chopped Coriander, Nylon Sev, Chopped Onion, Pav and Yogurt(optional)

Your misal recipe is a complete hit in my house. Staying in south india it is difficult to get good maharashtrian misal but this recipe is far better than what you get in restaurant. I have already made it twice in this month. Thank you so much for sharing such great recipes with us

Just dry roast the moth beans before boiling them in cooker. This is done in traditional kolhapuri misal. This will brings more flavour to misal.

Being from J and K I had never tried it before
But during the first sunday in our hostel they made it and made it very nice.
