M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a life-like doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Designed by brilliant toy-company roboticist Gemma (Get Out’s Allison Williams), M3GAN can listen and watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector, for the child she is bonded to.

When Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady (Violet McGraw, The Haunting of Hill House), Gemma’s unsure and unprepared to be a parent. Under intense pressure at work, Gemma decides to pair her M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to resolve both problems—a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.

Produced by Jason Blum and James Wan, M3GAN is directed by award-winning filmmaker Gerard Johnstone (Housebound), from a screenplay by Akela Cooper (Malignant, The Nun 2) based on a story by Akela Cooper and James Wan.

The film also stars Ronny Chieng (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Brian Jordan Alvarez (Will & Grace), Jen Van Epps (Cowboy Bebop), Lori Dungey (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, extended edition) and Stephane Garneau-Monten (Straight Forward).

Universal Pictures and Blumhouse present an Atomic Monster production in association with Divide/Conquer. The film’s executive producers are Allison Williams, Mark Katchur, Ryan Turek, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath.

This is really something. Megan’s eyes, her movements, and her voice is what makes her creepy. The dancing is funny and random at the same time. The music is great. I love when artists’ music is used as horror music for trailers or even as a eerie song choice for a scene in a film.

Also, this film is in my Birthday Month. This will be a treat for me to see when it comes out in theaters.

I'm into it. Also M3GAN understood the objective and her interface did not understand context. Therefore, it's the programmers fault for not establishing a fail safe. I'm with m3gan

Megan is honestly creepily eerie. Hopefully the movie is good because she could become an icon for the horror genre. I have a good feeling this movie will be good because it’s from the producers of the Black phone and Invisible Man, both of which are good movies.

M3gan is a computer that received an objective to protect Cady. She doesn't understand context so it's not her fault. She understood her assignment well, too well.

The aunt as an actress is really good in movies like this one. From “Get Out” to “Boy” and so on. Definitely watching it.

"Ever again?" at the end of the trailer is an awesome spine chilling summary of the whole trailer.
M3gan was sure she was accomplishing her goal to protect Cady, but the interrogative tone of "ever again" indicates that M3gan is realizing that the girl she is trying to protect is horrified and terrified, but at the same time M3gan is having trouble processing how she has become the despair she was supposed to protect Cady from.

I wanna see this now!!! And Taylor's cheery "its nice to have a friend" song from Lover made into creepy haunting background music, just ugh!!! I need this now! Who wants to see a horror movie in January?

I'm so excited for this particular movie, I don't usually like horror films but it seems funny and bloody at the same time, especially with the friendship part. I understand like this is a killer robot but the phrase "I'd do anything for you bestie" has been taken to a whole other level 🙂
