Rob and I compete in a “Shoot Out” to find the best bass sound. It’s a 1973 Moog System 55 (played by Rob) VS  an ARP 2600 (played by Anthony).  You’ll learn a lot of tips and tricks from both of us about how to maximize the modules you already own and you’ll also certainly learn how to make the fattest and baddest bass sounds.

We need the 2600 masterclass by you Anthony.

We have one of the best programmers of synths explaining us the power of both machines. Love this.

Honestly I have fallen in love with Anthony.
Generous, deeply knowledgeable, fantastic synths and best of all his passion, genuine warmth and unwavering enthusiasm.

Watching Anthony‘s passion for the Arp and Moog universe, I can imagine how bored he must have been with the Yamaha DX7 that conquered the pop charts around 1984.😄

Holy Guacamole that was some gnarly synth riffage! Great episode. Do more of these please. Just wish this had been longer!

One day at the Moog factory in cheektowaga, NY (SUBURB of BUFFALO) the engineers opened up an ARP to find a MOOG component covered with epoxy.. I love how Tony Banks and Neil Larsen use the ARP and the Moog guys, too many to mention

I finally pulled the trigger on an App 2600 M after you heralded the original as your all time favorite synth, and I'm glad that I did!

This was a win for the viewer.😊 I love how the quality of sound coming from the Moog is not significantly better in anyway, but just enough for your brain to justify the cost difference 😅.

At this point for me Moog is the Rolls-Royce and ARP is the Bentley. Similar, majestic, but if you like sexy, sporty, more raw the Bentley is the the only choice. Any Moog<>ARP shootout I gotta go with ARP. Love these vids!!!

I really like the addition of the clock on the Moog, becuase these machines aren't only for making sounds, but they are also time machines. Sit down with one and suddenly four hours has passed...

Synth heaven! 😇Definitely more of stuff like this pleeease! 😃 Maybe a song/tune in the future when both synths can do their magic in a musical context. Love it. ...And thank you! 😉👍

It's like comparing the sound of the engines of two supercars. They both sound amazing.

Great video. Nothing beats the Moog Modular for bass. I'm Moog Source bass for life though.

The Moog has a slick, clean sound, which is lovely and all, but I love how much harder the Arp hits. It has a rougher, more raw and geometric sound. I could feel those bass tones punch me.
