i had that problem, i thought the pannels are gonna rip apart. i used 2x4 wood to brace temporarily. it took me a while to figure out the brace solution

My door, 16’ x 8’ high was bending in the middle. It had 4 ….2’ sections and was insulated, but not laminated. It had 2 struts when new. I added a 16’ strut, but this didn’t help much, then I added a 9’ strut. I had to rebalance the door. About 2 months later, I lost the door opener and a spring broke. I decided to replace the door with a CHI door (had 5 sections, insulated and laminated) and a 3/4 hp Liftmaster belt drive opener. This was installed January 3, 2019 and all my problems were eliminated. Everything today, 5+ years later is working .

Where can I buy or order these struts from? I have a single car garage (door is 7'x8' non insulated). It seems impossible to find 8' 14 gauge 1 1/4 angle iron.
