Making an Impossible Base in Minecraft

In this Minecraft redstone video, Mumbo uses the immersive portals mod to create an impossible base in Minecraft. Just like the Mumbo Tardis in Minecraft video, this makes use of the immersive portals mod to create non-Euclidian geometry in Minecraft, allowing us to have rooms that are positioned in illogical ways.

These portals are so immersive that I forgot I was actually building a bedroom in the Nether... it’s very good I didn’t test the bed!
OH, and I left the promxix part in because it made me laugh. I guess my editing mistake is not making it clear that I intentionally left it in? ha!

Friendly reminder that the portal frame as we know it is the "minimum" size, you can build them taller or larger for a more estheticaly pleasing effect, depending on your build

Imagine "stacking" these. You could have a room that leads to 3 other rooms, which lead to another 3 rooms each, and so on. Or you could make a maze with loops that wouldn't make sense

a solution to beds in the nether: have two portals, one after another, so you're back in the overworld, but at a different y level

You have to come up with some kind of Scooby-Doo set up where you come in one door and out a different one in the same hallway. If you used a second account or a few other players to help record the whole chase it would be great. Either that or some kind of Escher set up.
