I think the main reason his normal skin has a lot of black is probably because when Venom is in his party he starts getting more symbiote particles on his body so I guess they wanted him to have more darker coloring on his body to make it look cooler

Spidey's got so much potential for skins: Future Foundation, Big Time(Stealth Suit), the Black Suit, Agent (Anti)Venom(in case he doesn't become a character), Miles Morales, 2099, Noir, classic Iron Spider, the movie suits, FRIGGIN SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED, etc.

I hope they eventually let Spider-man have a female model swap or something just for Ghost Spider/Spider Gwen, Gwenom, Mania, Earth X Venom, or a Mayday skin.
