I started learning spanish bc i moved to a city in Virginia that was heavily populated with spanish speakers and it made it easier to do my job. But its also fun and wholesome. Also my friends put me on to El Alfa, Don Omar and Ivy queen and I want to actually know what Kali Uchis is saying haha. But whats really crazy is that you taught me how to hoop growing up. Question about the first sentence of the lyrics > ‘Ayer éramos niños’. I am trying to understand the past forms of imperfecto and indefinido. Why are they using the imperfecto instead of indefinido? It starts with ‘Ayer’ so shouldn’t it be followed by ‘fuimos’? Its confusing to me, hope you have time to answer. Thanks! 🙏🏼

I listen to Contemporary Christian music that’s recorded in Spanish and in English. Danny Gokey sings in Spanish and does an excellent job. There’s music recorded in Spanish by other artists also. All of it is free on YouTube.
