Being from the bay area I remember a lot of hype about the release of the sophtware slump in 2000. I bought the album not knowing anything about what to expect but as soon as I heard He's Simple, He's Dumb, He's the Pilot, I knew this was the one of first masterpieces of the 21 century.

I was lucky enough to see them 4 times on this tour and I saw the Leeds gig which was just before Jim had to fly home for family reasons. That was their last ever gig all together in the UK as sadly Kevin passed away a few months later. What a band.

i picked up the sophtware slump for cheap in a bargain bin in the UK stuck it in ye olde car stereo cd socket and thought 'wtf is this, kinda radiohead meets surfpunk on acid shiz' but you know what, when i'm down this is still one of my default pick-me-up go-to albums...love these freaks
