NOTICE: Nixe is currently attempting to have this video removed due to a privacy complaint (usage of his name/face in this video). Seeing as this information was obtained through a public, state-run arrest database, I am combatting this claim with Youtube's legal team. However, if I fail, I may be forced to remove some small portions of this video - apologies in advance if it gets to that :)

Thanks for watching!

Glad to see you using my footage, bringing it out and letting others see what I made and hear the truth about mineclub. Great work on making this :D!

He suddenly got the brilliant idea to strangle his golden goose to try and threaten it into laying more eggs, which not only ended up killing the goose eventually, but also just made it lay less eggs up until it died.
I don't understand how some people can be so greedy that they fuck up to this extent

I was actually a staff member at one point on MineClub, I have very fond memories from the server but at a time when I was a teenager without needs and plenty of money from my job at the local grocery store I ended up spending roughly $1, 400 on the server in crates because I had genuinely developed a gambling addiction due to the "wagering" system that they had included in their server and my feeling of FOMO for having missed out on the beta and trying to claw as many "Beta Hats" as possible with many highs and lows but ultimately every time I would lose it all and ended up leaving when the server had a slew of controversies due to the higher up staff members actions.

I remember in 2021 I won $100 in a Mineclub owner call giveaway, got messaged about it and never received my money 😭

bro really had his butter and bread, all the money, all the playerbase needed yet he managed to ruin it all and also get arrested
i played on that server a few times and although i had basically no memories on it, it was an interesting experiment for a time that hypixel's monopoly was on an all time high
I'll miss the Hive server tho, may it rest in peace

the thing is, even with nixe performing scams on the developers and the players, there were so many other issues with the server that involved an admin being an actual pedophile, another admin making irl money bribes/bets with minors, and transphobia

the social concept of mineclub was great and i had many memories to gain from it, but the management and it's issues were enough to make everything fall further and further down; it was fun while it lasted hanging around most of the staff team and creating huge events, but it wasn't made to last

Awesome video dude. Seeing not just a Mineclub video, but also from you was quite the surprise.
I was a regular on that server so I have a LOT of extra info, so this is a looong comment but I figured I'll leave some more info for anyone that's interested because why not:

As the video said, everyone was immediately drawn to the server due to having MCC games. Millions of us watched those insanely unique, polished, fun games in MCC and could only wish we had the chance to play it ourselves one day... and then well, we could. After the first few months though, Mineclub started to expand past just being an MCC clone. After having 3 MCC games (Battle Box, Slime Walls aka Hole in the Wall, and Parkour Tag), they added Laser Tag, a completely unique game, and they held a Discord stage. In those moments, the server shot up to the highest player count it had ever seen, it was around 3.8k. 2 or 3 months later they released their 5th game, Dodgeball. Held a stage for that too, the server shot up to around 3.5k. This was in September 2021. After this point, the overall hype as a whole started to die off a bit, but the general core playerbase remained, especially when they added their own version of Housing in October/November of that same year.

The community was VERY tight-knit, and very committed to the server. The server had its own economy and marketplace, and these very exclusive cosmetics called unobtainables, which only a few thousand of each item existed. That may sound like a lot but it really isn't, which made each one of them extremely valuable and people would grind the market for those unobtainables, including wagering in Match 5 (which was literally gambling lol). This was all further amplified with housing. At first it was quite basic but some months later it had a LOT of custom stuff. You could place hundreds of the cosmetics that existed, and then they added gameblocks, special blocks that gave special effects you could make really cool stuff with (teleportation, blindness, glowing, etc). Throughout several months people would host events in their housings and give away millions upon millions upon millions of items worth of gems (the server's currency), or just gems straight up. There was a lot of replay value. I could go on and on about certain things the server had, and what was planned but I won't, because the Mineclub iceberg is insanely deep, all of this is really just scraping the surface honestly.

Things really started going down with Nixe's overpromising. Throughout 2021 and early 2022, he would claim all sorts of things would happen, most famously, that they would release a brand new game every single month (at a later point he said every single week), and that they would push out their huge marketing budget of $250k (later apparently became $1m) and get many more people in the server. I also remember much earlier in 2021 he said he was extremely confident the server would have absolutely blown up and have 50k players by the end of the year. Obviously, none of this happened. He kept saying and promising things, giving everyone hope and hype, and for a while everyone believed him, because why wouldn't we? The server did have a lot of potential, and what they had made so far was extremely cool. But, all those promises just never happened. All the while updates pushed to the server were very slow. Which ties back to Joey. For some reason this was almost never talked about by anyone, but this was always my greatest concern for the server by far (and my fears ended up being justified), the fact that they had just ONE guy developing the overwhelming majority of the stuff for the server programming-wise. I never understood why Nixe did this. It's not like he couldn't afford more devs, and it was incredibly inefficient. Understandably, many people just got sick of waiting for updates that never came and started to depart in droves.

The server had already lost a lot of players, but when Nixe began to get exposed for things in mid 2022, that really sealed the deal. The reputation of the server had never been in a worse place, and a large chunk of the remaining, active community quit immediately. This even included dozens of guides (helpers basically) and mods that were on the server and invested so much time into it for well over a year. I decided to stay and see what would happen because I was curious, and on the off chance that the server ever makes a comeback. Interestingly, a month or 2 after the stuff with Joey, Nixe actually finally hired multiple more devs, but it seemed as though there was nothing going on. From then and up to November, very little happened, and then the server shut down.

To be honest, even with everything that happened, the server COULD have still been successful and absolutely changed the multiplayer game. It really did have so much potential, what they had built and what they were planning on turning it into was seriously impressive, but it was all just executed so poorly. Most say the server was a scam, in some ways it certainly was, but much much more, it was the greatest waste of potential in, literally, all of Minecraft history.

still incredibly conflicted about my time there, huge upside is that i made a bunch of positive memories and even some friends from the community, downside was what happened behind the closed doors and being completely oblivious as a young teen even with the red flags i see a couple times a month.

i feel lucky i havent been hurt as badly as others but there are quite alot of people who had their trust betrayed alongside seeing some having gambling problems at 13-15 because of the server. i make fun of a friend for that, but in the very least he didnt spend actual money on it, i've seen a few people who've spent thousands on the server.

its weird how this specific server is the only one that drags me back with bitter nostalgia.

i feel happy seeing names i recognize in this comment section, hope yall are doing well for yourselves

Man, I miss that absolute disaster of a server.

Great video! Although I wish you would have covered the beta calls where he would outright lie for money and the scummy staff recruitment which was essentially a loyalty pact for players (it forced you to interact in chat and play for hours every day.)

W I got referenced 😂

Real talk, Nixe is the worst person I’ve ever met. Emotionally abused and manipulated me personally for years. Despite everything I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt for a long time and it only hurt more in the long run. As a 16 year old at the time, I didn’t understand the level of what was wrong with everything. At the expense of my own mental health I continued supporting him despite everything he did to me until the end of the line & even then he still blamed me personally for the server failing. Thank you for making this video.
edit: i just now noticed you included some brief clips from some of my content.. my fake beta hat speedrun is in this LMAO

He is still around with a new alias but playing ROBLOX instead lmao.

Y'know I was invited to this, visited it, people offered me NFTs and stuff to be involved so then I never touched any communication with it at all again.

I didn't expect people to remember this server. I remember playing this back when it was new, but then I quit Minecraft for a while. I came back a few months ago and tried looking for the server, and when I finally remembered the name, it was not online. I thought it had shut down because everyone moved to MCC Island, but it was for a worse reason. What a waste.

im glad someone is covering this, as someone who played their scam of a server 🙏 I remember in owner calls they claimed they had hundreds of thousands of dollars in crypto that they were personally investing into the server, and the server was visually beautiful, but there were so many empty promises, lies, and drama. im disappointed its gone but also kinda glad.
