Welcome back to another lookbook! Today, I’m sharing my Spring/Summer Module 1 capsule. I hope you enjoy it and stay tuned for plans for Module 2. I’ll be wearing these two Modules (plus maybe a dress/jumpsuit or two) exclusively for Me Made May this year!
What I’m wearing:
Module Pieces (and fabric if it’s still available)
Topper:
Bottoms:
In a yellow wool stretch suiting from my stash and I, unfortunately, bought quite a few years ago
Tops:
In a silk from Smuggler’s Daughter that’s no longer available
Don’t forget to follow me on social media so you don’t miss a thing!

How beautiful! I love everything in this module! The dark blue blouse really compliments the white jeans! What a great look! I need white jeans for spring and summer. Lucky me, I already have the Ginger Jeans pattern in my stash. Thanks for sharing the pattern designs and giving ideas on how to create a wardrobe. Everything looks good on you! You are a talented seamstress. What a wonderful set. I love your earrings too!

Liked your capsule wardrobe, especially the the tank with light blue sweater and white jeans, just makes me think of a perfect spring/summer outfit. I can not begin to tell you how much your comments about your tummy troubles helped me. I too have an autoimmune disorder which ebbs and flows and when you get a Stress or travel or any number of things compound it. Too many days of being stuck at home with tummy issues and a journal of what I have been eating that may have caused the problem. I don't talk about it to other people, felt so alone with that issue. You make me feel like I'm not the only person that has to shine up my "detective badge" every time I have a flare to try and determine what food needs to be removed from my diet Bless you!

So I watched the video you recommended and I really like the concept. I couldn't wrap my head around a traditional capsule wardrobe of 30 to 40 items of basics then adding in more "fun" pieces. For me 2 modules plus a couple dresses is all I need. I am almost finished building my 2 modules and I couldn't be happier with the results so far. Everything works together and I am focusing on keeping it that way.

I love this capsule! I'll admit when you showed all the fabrics I had my doubts but they all work so well! The only thing I don't like is how the sleeves of the peplum top bunch when you put the cardigan on. I'm plus size and so I avoid sleeve layers myself but I've always wondered if you put the top inside the cardigan and slip them on as one piece if that bunching could be avoided. Clearly, I've not tested out this theory - LOL!! That white top is so flattering on you - you should make many more of them. And mod it to a dress length keeping the shirt tail bottom and add a belt! Oh - and I was thinking about the placket on that top - I was thinking about modifying it with a longer piece that comes to a point at the bottom, topstitching it and putting an X in the square section - if that makes sense. The person who suggested grommets though - excellent idea! I do love your frayed hem white jeans but I'd have to cut off the dangly bits!!

Yes! Yes! The mustard pant such a good fit! Love the white blouse with them. The white jean another good fit! You and your pant fit is so good. I have the greatest of fabric for several denim jeans. The fit in the couch is hard. I need more length in the back and add like a gusset in the front and back inseam. With all these fitting issues l hold back on making pants. Some talk from your point of view might be just what need.

That is a wonderful capsule ... hard to say which one is my favourite. Although my hart goes out to the yellow bottom and rayon blouse that you made in the sewalong video. Wearing it tucked in gave you a natural waste. Always enjoy watching your uploads, you are such a bundle of joy ...

First, thank you for sharing. I enjoy your videos. I have had digestive issues my whole like that cause a lot of pain and bloating. Initially, it was just dairy, MSG, raw eggs and sodium nitrate. Then over time, eggs whether cooked or raw except traces in baking. In the past 3 years, I've added soy, corn and wheat flour to the list. I can handle small quantities but not daily. But the worst culprit for me is garlic. Any amount. It was exceptionally hard to determine this and to eliminate it, especially if you eat processed/packaged food or eat out. It is hidden under the words seasoning and spice. Most restaurants will not accommodate this intolerance.

Love this module on you! That bright blue top w the sleeves!?!? Phenomenal! Shoes off your waist and hips at the same time love the neckline etc. Wondering if it'd be as good a top for me? But I have much bigger hips than you... Hmm. It's to die for!

As a teenager we fringed all our jeans. I am quite a bit older than you but trends seem to return.

Good morning Whitney! I love all these makes. Your color and fabric choices are awesome. I just got inspiration for 3 pieces I'm planning to make, so thanks for sharing. I too have the same tummy issues. I've dealt with it for years. It sucks. That's why I tend not to wear things that are overly tailored. I love the look of them, but restrictions in the waist area are out. I'm still working on incorporating patterns that have bust darts into my collection. I need to revisit your video on the 3 bust dart adjustments soon. Anyway, thanks for sharing and I love your makes. Have a great weekend and Happy Spring!

Some very nice makes in this. I love all the looks with the white jeans in particular. I hope your stomach settles soon. Do you have a video where you first do these capsules and explain your thinking and any source readings? You sometimes mention references that I don't follow and I would like to know more.

I love this module! The white on white look is amazing!! I tend to veer away from lighter colored pants because I am curvier, and haven't found a nice fitting RTW pair, but I am inspired to sew a pair.😄
