Edit: I know why it didn’t work. The GUI seems to silently fail installation of the command line tool, but when I did properly (manually) it worked. May be a beta Mac OS thing.

A big question I always have when installing cocoapods, or node js, or npm, is ***which directory do I install this to? where does it install if i don't specify? are they any possible issues (however dumb, simple) when the directory path is not perfect / normal ? please help answer these questions!(:
