Bro Khonsu Stopped By The Hip Hop Uncensored Podcast to give insight on Meek Mill's Dispute With his record labels. On Monday (October 25), Meek Mill became the latest rapper to join the club as he vented his frustrations with his label.

The Philly rapper took to Twitter to air out his issues with his current deal in front of his 10.9 million followers. According to Meek, he hasn’t received a single penny and doesn’t know how much money his label takes off his earnings.

“I haven’t get [sic] paid from music and i don’t know how much money labels make off me,” Meek wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “I need lawyers asap!!!”

He added, “Ask the record label? how much have you spent on me as a artist? then you ask how much have you made off me as a artist? i’m about to make my record deal public by monday just to let the world see what these people on!!!”Meek Mill is currently signed to Atlantic Records and Maybach Music Group while also being under management with Roc Nation. It’s unclear who Meek is talking about, but fans will have to wait until he discloses more details as promised to find out.

N.O.R.E. might have been the source of inspiration for Meek Mill to go to Twitter and vent his frustrations with his label. During a recent visit to the I Am Athlete podcast, the Drink Champs host spoke about his first-hand experience of the ugly side of the music industry.#meekmill #rickross

Like Master P said, “10 percent talent and 90 percent business.” Learn the business part of it.

I'm not in the industry but it seems all the lazy and desperate artists want the label deal, where you get fame, fake jewelry, and loaned money vs a independent deal where you gotta grind, the jewelry is real and the money is yours

Also… There should be no knock on Ross’s name whatsoever about this situation. Business wise- he did everything he was supposed to do with Meek. He helped bring Meek Mill from a regional success to a global success. Everything from that point forward falls under the responsibility of Meek Mill and his own management team. Every artist is responsible for their own branding after they reach a certain level of stardom in their careers.

Meek should have never signed with roc nation, I think Ross put him and Wale in a good position as a boss. We always blame the black owners when these guys not up on their business. Some people are just workers.

Ross put Meek on the map nationally when he signed to mmg. Meek was big in Philly only before he started moving with Ross. Instead of flying private jets, that money could be invested in real-estate or multiple businesses. Meek getting to old to just want the rapper starter kit, a few chains and expensive cars

Meek gotta realize he also fucked the bag up going against Drake 😐

If meek flying private jets, buying jewelry, & driving maybach, but hasn’t made any money then who’s money is he spending?

I wouldn’t have known about Meek if he wasn’t associated with Rick Ross. I didn’t know about him when he was with T.I.. Ross was hot as fish grease and co-signed Meek and gave him a platform. Meek doesn’t date Nicki Minaj or get next to Hov if he’s not associated with Ross

Signing to Ross was the best thing that ever happened to Meek Mills. He’s famous and rich now. Yes he probably could’ve gotten a better deal but who’s to say that would’ve happened for sure? we can’t predict the future. Everything is in the contract people just don’t read it properly or they don’t understand it at the time when they sign it it. Think about it… why he crying about it now? If he was broke that would be a different story.

People talk about staying independent, but it takes money to be independent

The label is really just entrance/access to venues, stadiums 🏟 and then they throw you peanuts 🥜 for your 15 minutes

Meek need to take the advice he gave to those young black kids in Atlanta talking about split the $20 bill he gave its for the hustle ect ect ect. Don't feel bad for people like him.

First everyone was like Meek out grew Ross and was hoping Ross didn't stop him from signing with RocNation... Now shit starting to be revealed about RocNation and now Ross sent him to the Wolves F.O.H.

Kinda funny that Meek the only one complaint at MMG. I've never heard Wale have an issue

I agree. That’s exactly what I felt when I heard the album. No progression, just sounds like a young Meek Mill.

Ross is different. Ross seems like he legitimately tries to help his artists.
