Taskmaker 00 Tutorial

Taskmaker is a 90's Mac shareware game that, as a child, I played the living hell out of. A while ago I found out you can actually still purchase legit unlock codes from the developer for 10 dollars, which I was more than happy to do (again). Unfortunately right when I was getting started playing it is when my old 1st generation iMac decided to crap out on me (Bravo though, that thing lasted forever). I finally got some Mac Classic emulation set up and had to start a new Taskmaker game.

This is awesome. I actually just purchased the 1.0 version on ebay for Mac Classic. Maybe I'll go do a video on that- looks like gameplay is significantly different than the final one. Awesome to see another tmkr fan. :D

I have been trying to figure out what the name of this game is FOR YEARS, and have finally managed to figure it out. Spent a good hour getting an emulator working on my PC, now the real trick is getting the game to work through that :P

May I ask what emulator you are using? I'm trying to use basilisk but cant figure it out.

Fantastic game! I played this constantly as a kid. I remember this game had lots of secret passageways and hidden areas. You could use a potion to sneak behind the shopkeeper and steal his stuff, but that potion was rare - do you want to blow it on this? An example of great game design with limited resources.
