I feel that this performance is literally a statement that even if they have released an English single, they always have and always will remain true to their identity. They love themselves and embrace their korean culture and heritage. And this message is so powerful and the performance reflects that. This is what makes me admire them even more.

This time they not only wrote and produced the tracks as they always do but they also took care of and directed every aspect of it, chose the concept and shot the photobook! It’s going to be very personal reflecting on these hard times we’re all going through and on how to move on

It's so meaningful that they chose this song. In front of the palace? Wow, they are really spreading these beautiful parts of their culture on western TV. This was my first comeback and it has a very special place in my heart, because singing "you can't stop me loving myself" all the time for an entire summer will do something to you, especially if you usually have a hard time loving yourself.
I am so proud of how far they have come and wish them eternal happiness, may they always feel loved and never be touched by all the blatant xenophobia and jealousy of others.

I love that they chose to start their week of performances with Idol, the song that addresses haters and says that they don't care what name or stereotypes people want to confine them to, they'll do what they've always done and be themselves. The cultural attire and background emote their pride in themselves and their traditions and I am loving it. Love yourself, speak yourself, be yourself.
