Even if the Chinese only shake hands just because is an international fair game custom, they are used to doing it all the time, even in the Chinese league, so not doing it is a very bad gesture.
They are the best players in the world and should set an example for everybody that watches the game.

Zhang Jike is a good player, but at the same time he is a kid with attitude problem; it is not the first time he shows his bad manner, check out the game he v.s. Wang Liqin (watch?v=Bpxrku2IJOQ).

Jike was being disrespectful to his opponent but I'm glad he did apologize to Ma Long later. He's not that bad anyway haha. Some people may think it's an attitude problem but I like the way he is. At least he dares to show his true emotions. I love him! :)

@sunie1785 yeh agree! Zhang defeated Ma Long last time, and he thought he could do that again. He start the game so well, and also had game point. But Ma Long saved all those game points from Zhang Jike. Then Ma Long won 4-0. Damn, Zhang did not win even a game. Big disappointed from Zhang! Zhang has strong personality, you could see how he was "blowing up" when defeated the champ. So I think Zhang denied that shake hand is understandable!

Well ur pretty much true....mostly the one who loses doesnt wana shake hand but he just hav to.but there r few things in ur life that u should do irrespective of wheather u want to or not....they r playing on an international level..millions of fans watch their videos....nd not shaking hands especially when ur beaten 4-nil gives the idea that the player lacks sportsmanship as well as the maturity to be able to accept the defeat...
