Hi Mariah, thank you for all the work you've put into your channel over the years. It's been awesome to watch and learn, and particularly to understand where credit and recognition should be given for all the indigenous foods that have now circled the world. Thank you especially for talking about sunflowers. They're so beloved in my home country but it never occurred to me to ask how they found their way to us. Good luck in your future work and endeavors.

I just came here from Atlas Obscura and I am so excited to see more!! I really hope you become just as big as the other food channels

Problematic term acknowledged, but I think I've lived in an Indigenous Peoples' food desert my whole life, and this is the channel Ive been waiting for

Very excited to see more, so many recipes to try!

Heard you on the radio today. This video has a very interest view of American history. Was looking for coming from the indigenous point of view for awhile. 🎉

Thank you for sharing more of your story. I subscribed a while ago because of my interest in local/native foods. I am not genetically native American (to the best of my knowledge) but enjoy learning about native cultures.

Love the channel! Just to add to one thing you said though, you referred to vampires as a myth. Actually, there is good evidence worldwide and as shown in native cultures with the word skinwalker that these shapeshifters are real beings.

I totally make bone meal after I make bone broth :) People say I am extra, but I remind them I belong to a culture that was the original zero waste people that were forced to rely on an unnatural unhealthy diet.
