The comments on here are ridiculous. Yes it’s necessary why not. I change broken skate blades on the bench all the time. Maybe he also lost en edge or has a burr and needs them changed out. Technology now is amazing to change your blades on the fly. When I was a kid your broke a skate blade you were up creek without a paddle. They are in another country so for them to come prepared shows that team Canada’s members have the players in their best Interest. GO CANADA GO! 🏒 🇨🇦 .
