This was just 10 days after the devastating wildfires in Lāhainā and Upcountry Maui, and a portion of the proceeds from admission to the festival as well as many other ways to donate were set up. Many vendors from Maui who had worked so hard and spent so much to prepare their things to sell and stay on O'ahu for 3 days lost everything or were severely affected by the fires, so special accommodations or funds were provided for them.
