I used to hate blush for this exact reason. Only when I realised that blush looks much better on me when it's placed on my cheekbone and that orange based warm colors instead of the regular pink based blushes suit me way better I started to enjoy wearing blush. 8 years ago I would have sworn I would never wear blush, but now I love it.

To all the people in the comments, don’t take your makeup tips on this sorta stuff from only one person/different influencers that have a face shape different than your own. Different placements for blush compliment different qualities to varying face shapes. Separately, if you’re looking for makeup tips to alter your appearance and accent qualities that aren’t usually highlighted by your natural facial features, look up charts that show different blush placements on different face shapes and research why they work that way on those face shapes. Makeup technique is extremely relative to an individual’s goals in a makeover.

Recently I’ve been wearing my blush basically directly under my eyes and further towards the nose and I’m shocked what a difference it makes for me! It makes me look so much more awake

I think both ways look pretty on you to be honest..the top blush is more noticeable from the sides of your face mostly and the lower blush makes you look so pretty ..i don't think it drags your face down..maybe your not used to the look but both ways are beautiful ✨✨✨
