She wasn’t drunk she was poisoned; hand sanitizer has isopropyl alcohol which is metabolized into toxic acetone in the body while regular alcohol found in drinks like beer becomes acetate which is less toxic. ( I found this info online)

A few months ago, some random girl in my nieces class tried to poison her by putting hand sanitizer in her water bottle as an "experiment". Luckily, my niece smelled the hand sanitizer & decided not to drink it, I went over to the school the next day livid that no one called me & the little girl was suspended for 2 days. Children need to learn that drinking hand sanitizer is dangerous & can be life threatening

I’ve drank hand sanitizer before, the first time I ended up in the hospital but pretty fine and the second time it gave me little to no effect. It wasn’t a lot of sanitizer but much more than you put on your hands normally.

When I subbed for a kindy class back in ‘19 I told the teacher that one student kept putting sanitiser then licking her hands. Her teacher never noticed. The next year when only essential students came to school Cz of covid, she had to be watched when she goes to her bag because she was drinking student’s sanitiser that were key-chained to bags. Then the year after she apparently walked out of the school during home time fumbling and such. Found out she was drunk from drinking sanitiser. Crazy what kids could be addicted to.
