He also helped finance Music Man and design MM stingray and cutlass. I think it's funny Leo's original designs are so sought after despite its flaws like floating tremolo design issues, yet Leo in another companies was looking towards innovation and refining.

I digress, my G&L ASAT Classic semi hollow is quite a nice guitar! I wouldn’t say it’s that far behind my USA Standard Fenders …but it is leaps and bounds behind my Fender Mod Shop, though it’s not fair to put a semi custom Fender against an off shore production guitar.

I didn’t even know Sassafras was a wood for guitar bodies. I need one now now that’s where the MDMA comes from.😂

Fender guitars are a tough act to follow. If anyone could do it...the "L" in G & L...Leo Fender. Always a winner for playability, quality and investment. In some instances Fender had to catch back up. I've never seen a better designed headstock in this category.

I have an ASAT from '97. I dropped some Lollar P90's in it with a 4 way switch. Sounds amazing

I love the headstock. Im a big fan of G&L. Im glad they are doing more marketing lately. U dont see many people playing them. More people should give them a try.

Got an ASAT Special Tribute and it is my absolute favorite. The prices went up significantly recently yet they are still worth it.

I get compliments all the time on my G&L ASAT classic tribute guitar. Looks great and sounds fantastic. Just needs a good professional setup and theyre amazing.

Yeah i want one. I already own an American Fender and a Charvell. Now I need or rather want a G&L to round things out.

IDK. But I have a fetish for peeling the clear film off new products plastic faceings. Its my bubble wrap thrill.

I can take or leave the head stock, but what really turns me off of G&L is the strings laying against the saddle intonation springs. It's just a very bad, almost lazy design.

I will never touch a GL and it’s all because of that absolute eye sore of a headstock. Yikes!!

Ive always liked the headstock. My big brother had an invader, with a Kahler, when i was a kid just learning to play. I went on to have my own guitar collection, and i worked at Parker for a while in the early days of the company, and that G&L is still one of the best quality guitars that ive ever played. I haven't had my hands on another G&L since, but i can honestly say that those early ones were beautiful!

Great guitar! I have two-Fullerton &Tribute. Both are exceptional. In my view, the headstock is great design.

Keeps me up at night, hard as a rock.

I don't know what that means.

G&L makes top shelf guitars. Mine is over twenty years old. All the other G&L's I owned are long gone now. But the one I held on to stands against anyones guitar and wins. You can see the look on their face when they hear the difference. Lol
