Another of the most common bucket list cruise for many cruisers is a Norwegian Fjords Cruises, and it is understandable why. In our Norwegian Fjords Cruise Guide we are looking at some of the things you need to be aware of before booking a Fjords cruise, and things to be aware of once you are sailing the Norwegians Fjords to avoid some very costly mistakes.

With Cunard, P&O Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean (to name a few) all offering Norwegian Fjords Cruises, the choice can be overwhelming and we hope our guide to cruising the Norwegian Fjords will help.

We take a look at which is the best cabin to take on a Fjords Cruise, how expensive Is Norway, what you need to pack, which cruise line is best for the Norwegian Fjords and whether the itineraries really matter that much on a Fjords cruise?

As usual with our videos, we record these in a single take to give you our honest, non-scripted opinions. And as always our videos and all content is shot by us, in 4K and no stock images are used.

We went with Holland America and splurged on aft facing balcony. So worth the extra cost. We spent a lot of time just enjoying the view. Our weather in May was 30-70. Rained one day out of 14. Coldest day was in Flam. We rented a car and drove to see different sites. One of the best days. Standing at the viewing platform overlooking the fjord was windy and cold, but otherwise the weather was so good for May. Would love to go back someday. The scenery is fabulous. People kind and generous. Cash is not king in Norway but watch what you pay. Didn’t find it as expensive as some said. We are from the USA, so our restaurants are pricey for good food. Go not expecting to find what you do at home. Keep your mind open to adventure. Travel is a learning experience. Learn to laugh at yourself.

We were at the North Cape on June 20th. It was 2 degrees c. Breathtaking, snow still in places and constant sunshine at midnight - wow. Luckily we had packed hats and gloves and layered up. Fantastic

Our tips would be, (i) Sail on Iona, the windows in the atrium have awesome views, (ii) buy your fridge magnet for Stavanger on-line instead of in Stavanger, you'll save big time! (iii) take the land train in Alesund - you'll never get that tune out of your head.

I found your video to match exactly the title of your channel. You seem to be the kind of people I’d love to run into on a cruise. Very sweet. Great tips as we head into Norway on the. Celebrity Apex in just a couple of weeks. I was looking for those last minute tips, tricks and techniques and you two delivered. Thank you for posting.

Just a thought...I too had a sheltered balcony on the QM2 on a 11 day Norway cruise and found the sheltered bit, blocked the view unless you went outside. A reminder that it was 5C for 6 days in a row, 24 hours a day, never changing. You would be far better off with an oceanview for 2/3 of the price.

Perfect timing! We're doing our first cruise in May... and it's to the Fjords on Iona, should be interesting! Your vlogs have been the perfect entertainment during our planning.

You will get to Flåm one day Linzi!
We were really disappointed with the café at the top of the steps in Alasund. A teabag for over four pounds!!
We enjoyed the printing, canning and petroleum museums in Stavanger. They might sound a bit boring but they were really interesting so great if it’s a rainy day. You get a discount if you visit more than one of the museums. xx

We missed Alesund and Stavanger on our November 2022 sailing - weather forecast called for sleet both days, so QM2 diverted to Zeebrugge. That puts a fjord cruise back on the 'bucket list'.

We were in the Fjords in mid August 2023, and the weather was miserable. Torrential downpours, high winds, cold. Our cruise started in Iceland where the weather was fantastic. We were on Viking and enjoyed the smaller size which enabled us to spin 360 by 7 Sisters water fall for example.

We did get to Flam, but it was pouring and so we didn’t feel like taking the downhill bike ride we’d booked.

I did the fjords last august it was so warm and it was my first time on a cruise, I had an inside cabin wouldn’t book that again felt like I missed so much. Going back in April and have a balcony feel like it be so much better.

@7:24 the prices are in Norwiegen Krona not Euros, a great british pound gets you 13 Norwiegen krona so a 120 meal is less than a tenner, been to Fjords 3 times, it not cheap but also not that expensive however you are 2 very good advocates for cruising

Don’t go expecting nice weather. We went in July and expected spring sunshine. It rained daily. The cruise before us was wet all week and the one after. Even the locals were complaining about how wet it had been.
Thst said, it’s beautiful and we are going back next April

Going in June on Queen Anne... very interesting video thanks. Strange about prices as we found Oslo last June quite reasonably priced - at least compared to London - concert tickets a fair bit cheaper.... Maybe cruise ports have a much more captive audience

I loved the simplicity of the video. what a lovely couple. I concerned how much on average would the tour of 1 week cost for 1 individual. planning to do so.
