If I remember correctly, these secret indoor areas were going to have treasures of some sort. But they were cut during development. The secret areas still exist though.

i found this place recently too, my mind was blown, i think it was supposed to lead to the nightclub but was cut

This reminds me of the sly cooper 2 Dimitri mission where you have to pickpocket the guards and steal there keys to turn off the fan blades. I had my brother play and realized that there was an another albeit very small room with 2 suitcases in it. You can jump on the lights.

I think I remember finding this YEARS ago as a kid, but was disappointed that it didn’t have anything impactful. So I just ignored it which led to forgetting about it haha

I remember when i played the game for the first time as a kid that this secret place were the place where i could proceed with the game. I was really confused when there was nothing but a guard on the other side of the wall :D

From what I remember in and older build of the game this room held a treasure like every other room in the game once did and originally had an unfinished square hole placeholder for a vent that would have led to where a guard in the final game is placed allowing the player to just go to the end of the hall and into the backroom of the lounge.

Additionally, that big open circular room that is in the hallway you used to get into this hallway; originally had a use. It was going to be the original way that you would get past the first guard in the hallway as the guard's flashlight range was smaller and as such the player would walk over to the table in that room and smack the bottle on top of the table to draw the guards attention before sneaking out and running straight to the vent. Yes, in the older builds of the game that hallway only had one guard.

I love the games and play them again every year but my Skyrim/Oblivion brain cannot stop thinking about what this series could become with a large modding community

Their are other secrets in that lvl u can clinb on a balcony in the room before taking the photos. As a kid i always tried lookin for stuff their thinkin their was an even bigger secret still wonfer if they ever planned things to be bigger
