Hi, my name is Merrill Kazanjian. New York City is an amazing place to go metal detecting. We have lots of parks, colonial history and great beaches for beach detecting. I have gone to all five boroughs of New York City To Metal Detect and beyond. I also currently own 22 metal detectors. I want to have the best and I want to help you choose the best as well. Below I will showcase some of the playlists on this channel:

I have a playlist of metal detecting videos to teach metal detecting. The videos in the playlist below are specifically made to teach the skills and mindset to becoming a great metal detectorist.

I am a treasure hunter. So in addition to metal detecting, I go mudlarking at sites in New York City. Think of mudlarking as metal detecting without a metal detector.

Bought a Rad Power bike 3 years ago for detecting adventures, been a game changer not only for detecting but for life. Love mine. Gets me across 30 acres of stubble in no time flat when detecting huge fields and gets me into town for dinner when I need a break from the dogs. Life hack + 100

The hidden beach on Staten Island would be the Conference House dating back to the Revolutionary War. It has a grassy knoll that leads down to a beach. Many artifacts can be found there including arrow heads. A famous Conference took place on September 11, 1776.” George Washington was in attendance. From their website "The Conference House Association acknowledges that the land of this historic house was first inhabited by indigenous peoples." Good hunting. Nice bike!!

I have had a ZUGO RHINO for a couple of years now. I use it when I am in the country, mainly in fields of old farms to assist me in finding the main sites by searching fields for pottery shards, glass, bricks, foundations etc. It will do 28 mph, and I am a big man weighing 275 lbs. LOVE my ebike.

Welcome to the club Merrill. E-bikes have been very popular for detecting on the beaches since the hurricanes and storms of a couple of years ago. It give us the ability to scout and detector where “no detector has gone before” lol. Well, at least it can get us to the out of the way places. 😉

I’ve been using e-bikes for over 12 years on the beaches, always hose down with fresh water especially on the chains and gears, under the mud guards etc use plenty of lubricants on any part that moves or rotates, look after your bike and it will last, sand and salt is very unforgiving, I love and look forward to your adventures on the wilder untouched beaches where real treasure lies waiting 😊

Zip tie vertically an 18" PVC pipe with cap on the back side of the bike behind you. You can keep your scoop in that while riding down the beach.
